I have owned a Para 2 pretty much since they came out was wondering if the new Para 2 salt was that much of an upgrade and why ? Thanks guys .

I always thought salts had dendritic cobalt (rustproof) blades like SM-100, Stellite 6K, etc.

From my knives, Magnacut has been easier to sharpen than s30v and by composition it's tougher and has better rust prevention than s30v.

But is it really worth the upgrade........I don't know that's for your extra pocket money to decide :p

I'm waiting to get my hands on one... don't have a Para 2 or anything in Magnacut so figure this is a good opportunity. Two birds!

I think it is. I actually bought two. The edge retention won’t be much better than s30v but you’ll have fewer worries about chipping with the added toughness and no worries about rust I also really like the milled scales because they are very grippy.
