Guys!

Did you hear anything about knife or gun shows in Japan?
Do they have them at all?

Just interesting...

I know they have a custom knife scene in japan but they have very strict gun control.
They seem to like conservative American hunting designs done to a VERY high standard of fit and finish with mid grade stainless to a high polish. I would guess that Rosarms would have a few knives that would suit them very well. One of my favourite knife companies is japanese. It is Hattori and they make knives for some big names like Spyderco and Fallkniven. I believe one of their bigger dealers is World knives.

They also have a huge and thriving custom Harley scene which makes some amazing bikes. I particularly like Zero Engineering.

Don't know for sure about knife shows, but while Japan has large urban areas, and a strict arms control, they also have pretty wild mountains with wild animals: boars, bucks, even bears... So there is some market for hunting knives.

There is a Seki outdoor knife show and others:

You may ask on the Asia regional forum (although it doesn't have so much traffic)

Thank you very much.

there is very few people with guns and i think only afew people in the whole country with pistol licences, i guess no more than some 1000snds or so with hunting licences, maybe a little more.
im not totaly sure .
there is a custom and production knife market though, and there is 1 or 2 japanese knife forums and a knife magazine.

the main problem is language..... as few people speak english or a willing to if they can ,
it is the same with japanese companies, bloody hard to deal with as any dont have any english speaking employees and rely on agents to sell to western countries .......

the best thing to do is ask some japanese knife makers about what shows are the best , there is several in japan every year.
