I recently traded for a Scrap Yard Dogfather to compliment my Son of Dogfather. I was going to buy some kydex for the DF, but since I already made a leather sheath for the SOD I figured I'd give this a whack.
I wanted something with MOLLE attachments, so I could lash/clip it to the side of my Maxpedition Condor II. I've never seen leather MOLLE, so I pretty much pulled the concept out of my hinder. She's a little wider than needed to allow for the MOLLE width. Somehow, it all actually worked out. Even better, I added some D-rings to allow the sheath to transform into a drop-leg rig with a leg-tie.
The stitching didn't turn out so great. I had to drill from the back to the front, instead of vice-versa, and I don't have a drill press. The stitching close to the throat came out the worst. It was supposed to be a bit more of a design, but turned out crappy.
Anyway, here she is. I apologize for the crappy pictures. I'm a crappy photographer. And I only have my phone to do so with.
