Magna "squeek" how to fix????

Both of the Magna's I have owned developed a "squeek" at the
pivot shortly after I bought them. It doesn't affect them but it
is annoying somewhat. I've tried oil, graphite, syn. grease to no
avail.

I REALLY like this knife alot for it toughness and would very much
like to quiet it down a bit. Funny thing is the opening stroke has always
been deliberate on both and pivot adjust was the wrong thing to do.
The noise doesn't hinder the knife at all so if I can't find a cure I'll
just live with it.

Any suggestions short of sending it back to Outdoor Edge???

To Tightwad:

Sorry for the delay in getting back with you. We had a problem with the pivots in some of the Magnas. I can't explain why but the blades squeek on opening and as you have tried, no amount of lubrication will eliminate the squeek. I regret these slipped through our QC however there is no way to correct the problem other than sending them back to us and switching out the pivots.

Dave, Thank's for your offer to repair, however, in my case I will keep
the knife as is. Since I know it has no negative affect on the knife and
I like it so much I'll just consider it a "character" of this knife using it .

I will mention where I bought both knives so you can contact that dealer
to check his stock if you wish.........A.G. Russell's ( a very good dealer)

Thank's again for your offer.
