Mark Madness! Post your knives by Mark Scrimgeour

I thought it was an edc3. Guess I'm mistaken?
This will unlock at 5:00 eastern time

This is a pretty knife.

Jo and I did the milling. The hollow grinds were done by Mark the psycho grinder monkey.

...He and I both drink a little on Fridays....

This is a one off, hand ground EDC with some very cool hollow grinds by Mark. It was heat treated here in the shop, by me, using the Delta protocol for CPM 3V. It is HRC 61 and sharpened at 18 DPS. I like the heat colors from HT so I left them on there. The colors aren't quite 100% perfect everywhere, but it's about the best looking heat color I've ever seen so I didn't remove it. The scales are black G10.

There is no sheath included. These have very nice hollow grinds and I would recommend you get a leather sheath if you want to retain the fine finish.

I don’t have any original Scrimgeour yet, but I got a bunch of bitchin CPKs ground by Mark!
Such as this DEF with African Blackwood, Osage DEK1, Cocobolo Hard and Thin FK2 with swedge, DIW EDC2, and my favorite Boba Fett EDC2.

That looks so good! I don't really have a grail knife, but the EDC3 is close!

That is a cool piece! :) I also like the nice Grogimus sheath.

Is that a custom one-off from an OG EDC(1) blank?

I'm also curious about the history on that one? Fun Friday Sale? Pre-Order with options? Or perhaps scored from one of the past Blade Shows?

Thanks :)! Yes, it's an EDC (1) from a Fun Friday, back in the day :).. Non.Nisi.Te Non.Nisi.Te nailed it!
Cheers,
C.

p.s. Unfortunately, I don't have (yet) one of Mark's originals :(...

A couple more

Objectively, I do not like that Bowie blade shape. But I have held that knife in hand and that is quite the little gem. That is a fascinating little piece that is fun to study.

Really a very cool piece made even more cool by the ebonite.

I mentioned this somewhere else here in the sub-forum when E. previously posted up a picture of that knife.

I was struck with how the blade's profile was reminiscent of a speed boat or a sleek yacht. So in my mind that piece will alway be known as the "Speed Boat DEK"! 😁
