Mini Cyclone tortion

Was just playing with my mini cyclone, when i closed it it made a snap sound. No unusual pressure build up or anything, just snap.
Now the torsion bar wont engage, and it makes a kind of rattling sound when opening and closing.
I'm assuming the torsion bar just broke? or did it just come out of alignment or something.

Basically, is this something I can fix, or something i need to send in?

Edit: crap, I misspelled torsion in the title :(
 
Shoot kershaw and email, they will send you a new torsion bar (yours iz most likely in two peices for the sound of the snap) they will mail you one ASAP. Free. No questions asked. If you dont have a torx tool they will send you one of those too. (this has happened to me multiple times)
 
Or you can send the knife in for warranty repair and let them take care of it. You pay shipping to them only. This is a common problem with the Cyclone.
 
damn. Guess this is why they're discontinuing them?
