Close up of Kabar short.... it has been stripped guard grinder down and patina induced... ohhh and false edge has become a true edge sharpened it up the other dayimage.jpg

Bought this fishermens Kabar the other day and tip was broken now fixed.... look at original pic!!

I love the hook sharpener on the side of that knife. I wonder how many trout that baby cleaned. Nice knives JW

Haha yeah it's also got a descaler with a two prong "fork" for un catching fish ;)

I've only cleaned one smaller trout so far and it worked great
 
Changed the handle and added a guard to this Kabar heavy bowie. feels really good now. Osage wood pommel is beginning to darken

I used a wood clamp, put the point in a wood block, then compressed the handle by torqueing down the "handle screw" if that makes sense

 
Kabar short with leather washer handle should be a great mod
