the first knife in the post is maple burl on XHP. picked up a bunch of 5A mal=ple burl and i got half of it back from stablizing (need to send the other half soon )

its for brakig down chicken and other meat joints (its slightly heaver grind )
if you are talking about the wood is some spalted maple i jsut got back a bit ago from K&G
