I am looking for a inexpensive Tomahawk to purchase so I can lean how to throw. how do the Cold Steel hold up and are the worth it. Any and all information would be appreciated as also what to purcahse. I plan on taking it backpacking to use around the camp and also to have some fun with.

Thanks,

There are plenty of good starter Tomahawks out there in the $30-$40 range that one can throw and enjoy. Most however, are cast, or made abroad. Some can be found from the Muzzleloading trade if you do a search on Muzzleloading suppliers.

If you want a Hawk that is shaving sharp out of the box, ground correctly for cutting, chopping and penetration, balanced as a thrower, functional as a camp or combat tool, and will hold its value as a collectible item, then look no further than the Rogers' Rangers Series.

Thanks for your inquiry and let us know how we can assist you further in researching your first Hawk!!!!
