I have a bunch of new Tiger/Flame figure maple blocks for sale. These are natural blocks of Eastern hard maple. They are fairly dense and hard. These can be stabilized but don't require it. I use this stuff all the time natural. It takes an outstanding stained and/or oil finish in natural form.

These are oversized solid blocks, no visible defects. The figure is bold and goes end to end and front to back in all blocks.

All blocks are 1 15/16" x 5 1/2" x 1 3/16".

Here is a sample piece from the cutoffs that I quickly shaped, sanded, polished and stained/oiled to show what you can expect this to finish out like. It can be even better as this was about a 5 minute job:
