Tea time today

BK9 to split some birch and poplar it into tiny bits of kindling

Nice spot I knew about but never had a break there before.
The Core 4 stove in a minimal setup, just 3 walls and the perforated triangulare baseplate.
(To compensate the big knife )

The tiny BK13 that lives in the sheath of the 9 cut up my gingerroot for tea

Put the kettle on and wait ... tough times here

Forgot to pack a mug, so drank straight from the kettle

Tossed in the last bits of wood and enjoyed the view

Everything split in half

Then into smaller pieces

Done splitting, now store it to dry

They're the KA-BAR natural canvas micarta scales (without red dye ). Got a nice deep rich color after a bit of use. And they feel great

Your pics made me remember I need to hunt down some stainless screws on this side of the pond.

Because it lives in my kitchen, my BK98 is by far and away my most used Becker. It was freshly sharpened to carve up this roast tonight…
