It is my favorite tamper and I have a number of them, in addition to various pipe tools and such. All of them have their draw but yours has become my go-to.

Good to hear, I had found a blog from a collector and he had hundreds of really fancy ones but his favorite was the cheapest and simplest one that he owned. He had mentioned the slightly cupped end being useful when tamping. Looks like the little bit of research I did paid off. So happy to hear it's being used.

Sure don't, I've never made a Kephart before. Great design, just never considered making one.
