Below is a copy of the original drawing of the Rogers Rangers' Light Infantry Belt Hawk, French and Indian War period, per the document furnished by the Ranger Training Brigade... http://www-benning.army.mil/rtb/rtbmain.htm

Now, here's the Hawk Prototype!!!

Again, I modified this image via PhotoSuite to reflect the Ranger Tab....which will be fire branded into the handle on the side shown, and "Rogers' Rangers" in script on the other. The head will be stamped with "American Tomahawk Company", as illustrated by the text.

We trimmed a little of the throat to enhance the "throwability" and to take off a little weight, but the design is intact.

This particular Hawk is more utilitarian than the Spike Hawk...click here if you have not seen the Spike yet http://www.bladeforums.com/ubb/Forum66/HTML/000008.html

The hammer poll is designed for the hardest use and abuse, while the cutting edge will chop, cut, slice, and penetrate whatever it is wielded against. It also hits the target with TREMENDOUS power when thrown...a little heavier than the Spike Hawk, this tool will give years of good service and function as a formidable weapon if need be....AND, as all our Hawks are, FUN TO THROW!!!!! Parchment certificate of authenticity included...as will be the case with ALL of the Rogers' Rangers Series.

She's $150.00 + S/H and the second Hawk in the four part series which is being unveiled...we are accepting orders now!!!

Andy,

Is the Light Infantry Hawk going to come with the leather wrapped handle also?

If you wanted one WTF, I could get some lanyard from Kenny Rowe and send it to you, but as a std. feature, the Light Infantry Hawk sports a plain handle, per the RTB photo. We could put it on the next time you are out here anyway, so it would be no sweat!

Let me know if you are up for a Hawk!!!
