While I am old to SAK's I am new to the forum amd am seeking assistance in ID'ing my Victoronox SAK. It is the same as the current "Climber" model but does not have the multi-purpose hook. It is marked "Officier Suisse" if that helps. If this is a stupid question let me know, otherwise thanks a lot.
 
It could be a climber before they added the hook. It's a good thing they added it to the climber-- how else would you be able to zip down a rope James Bond-style?
 
I have a Super Tinker that is sans hook. I've always thought it was kind of odd -- I didn't know they added the hook later. Thanks for the info, umberto00.
 
It is still a Climber. The hook was a recent innovation, was invented ca. 1991, IIRC.
