Any reason why I shouldn't serrate the back-side of my Project I?

I mean completely serrate the back of it.

serrations dont do anything very well. there was a time when all survival knifes had them. i like to use two hands on the blade for certain field tasks. i think the serrations hinder this type of use. but two each his own.

We are not willing to serrate the back edge of any of our one piece models unless they are specifically designed that way (the Jereboam Mk I, Mk IV, Aviator and now the 5.5" with a sawback that we have done as an exclusive for MidWest Gun Exchange). Even though they look good, serrations have only a limited application because the length of the saw is small and the arrangement of the teeth is pretty generic (i.e. they are designed to cut most things adequately). It is necessary to thin out the back edge of the knives a bit - you will see that the Aviator has a hollow grind in the sawback area - and we are not willing to do this on other models.
