Howdy folks,

I was gifted a beatiful green jig bone # 40 NIB Schatt and Morgan gun stock knife. It's CPM 154 steel and honestly, it was duller than a butter knife out of the box. Worst edge on a factory knife I've ever seen.

I've screwed with this knife trying to get it hair shaving sharp and have failed miserably. I fear that my Sharpmaker and myself aren't up to the task. The knife has great intrinsic value to me and I want to get a keen edge on this knife.

Hate to ask, but who do you recommend to profile this thing into a workable edge?
Carrying a dull knife isn't an option and I want to EDC this knife.

I was going to say, while I haven't used either, I have heard nothing but positive reviews from both REK and TLE.

I have used josh@razoredgeknives.com for my sharpening service. He is great and fast. He also sculpted my Southard AVO scales when he did a regrind on my blade. Wonderful work. HIGHLY recommended.

I have an Edge Pro Apex and reprofiled and sharpened three knives during the last week, but when I was a PROFESSIONAL job, I choose Josh.
