over the past few years, i have been making sheaths(as well as other leather goods) here and there.. so i have been ordering a lot of customs without them... after seeing how sharp this blade was i quickly got to work on the sheath, the first chance i got.. i worked on it the day i got it and finished it the following afternon...
this is what i ended up with... it's is 9-10 oz. veg. tanned leather, wet formed and dyed with a medely of different colors that i have been meaning/needed to get rid of... the sheath is med. brown with a little ox blood.. the edges are med. brown and black...
more pics of the knife can be found here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=7926275#post7926275
the fit on the blade and firesteel loop is nice and snug.. and it rides nice and high on the hip just as i prefer it..
i like the difference in colors on the edges and the rest of the sheath..
let me know what you all think...
cheers.. Mike
