Hi folks!
Years ago, Cold steel made a fighter inspired by the SOG Bowie design.
What was the name of this knife, and what about the quality?

The Cold Steel R-1 Military Claassic was a copy of the Randall 1-7.
The Cold Steel UWK was a copy of the fanous SOG knife.

Guys, you are fantastic.
It’s the UWK. Is it a good one or a crap?
I’m looking for Sog Bowie designed knives

SOG S1 and S2 made in Seki Japan 1986-2005. These are the real deal.
Tak Fukuta SOG made for Parker in 1980s.
Al Mar SOG made by G.Sakai 1980s,
Bark River/Vehement SOG recently made but now discontinued.
SOG Tech, Tech II, Seal 2000, Seal pup, Tiger Shark made by Kinryu Seki 1990-2005,
SOG's current line up made in Taiwan since 2006.
Cold Steel UWK, discontinued.
A number of custom makers in the US have done SOG knives,
Just don't buy any off ebay becaue there are cheap Pakistan copies out
under the "Survival Inn" label.

A real Sog knives pro!
Mine is a Samuel Lurquin custom made.
I’m more looking for a Bark river because the vintage Sog are just crazy in price.
Didn’t find a lot of knife makers making knives… do you have any advise?

UWK is the best balanced knife I own. I have a carbon v version but I think they had a satin “china” version. Wish they’d bring it back.

I highly recommend getting one.

SOG and COLD STEEL was bought by GSM outdoors that have a very bad reputation of downgrading the quality of products ...

Good old days of Solid (affordable) knives are DEFINITELLY behind us , sadly
