Hi all,
For sale is a large hand made slipjoint from French female knife maker Marie Taillardat.
I carried it in its leather slip a couple of times and cut a couple of apples with it, that’s it.
It was never sharpened, I stropped it once.
Specs:
Model: Le 1925
Blade length: 9cm (3.54”)
Overall length: 21cm (8.27”)
Blade stock: 2.5mm (0.095”)
Blade type: VG10 Suminagashi Damascus
Liners: steel with file work
Scales: Gabon Ebony + Mozambique Ebony
Weight: 112g (3.95oz)
Extra: comes with all the goodies it came with.
Notes:
1) The file work, like the rest of the knife, was all done by hand, and as such, it is not perfect as if it was done by machine.
2) While putting the edge on the blade, she missed the tip ever so slightly. This should go away after the first sharpening.
See pics for details.
Price:$600 $550 (This will be the only price drop)
including shipping and payment via e-transfer or Paypal F&F
Looking to sell only, no trades, thanks.
