I hope you are all well. It's been years since I posted but I finally got my hands on a model of a 4.25-inch Colt python (due to UK gun laws I can't have the real thing and I have to make it crystal clear that it is in fact a model and nothing but).

I was wondering if you could kindly let me know if a non-moulded type holster for a Colt python that I plan to make would fit other revolvers like the 4-inch S&W k-frame or the Kimber DASA 4-inch (or 3-inch).

I've made a 1911 holster before using the pattern pack by Will Ghormley and I am hoping to make the belt loop similar to that (or a pancake I'm still on the fence).

Thank you very much in advance.

Howdy my friend. Good to se ya here again. Big doings over your way. All the news stories here right now. Ya know the one somewhat common revolver I've never actually made a holster for is a Python believe it or not. Have for Anacondas and some of the other "snake" guns as they call the Colts but not for a Python. I think the K frame might be a little rattly in the holster and the Kimber I doubt will get in as its a little blockier and a squarer frame. i'm a fan of pancake holsters after 40 plus years of almost daily carry. They are just more comfortable and secure for me.

Hi to you too! I hope you are well.

Yeah the whole country is in a state of shock.

The queen went out in style and dignity though. Surrounded by family and stayed sharp till her last breath.

She's a world war 2 war veteran and that generation was built differently.

Thank you so much for the advice. I think the best way to go forward then is to stick to making a holster for the python in a pancake style rather than the one size fits all approach.

The last pancake I made is for the Busse Son of Badger and that's really well secured. Python is a heavy gun so pancake is a capital idea now that I think again.

Thank you for sharing your advice and experience again I always learn a lot from you.
