This is an older pattern, actually from five years ago, that I made and gave to a friend go mine that was diagnosed with cancer. It's been five years now and he has remained cancer free and doing well, so that makes him a five year cancer survivor. From now on, any knife with this handle spacer pattern will be designated a survivor pattern knife. This is by far the main reason the is one of my favorite patterns. The other reasons are it's fairly plain and straight forward, it doesn't have any exotic handle materials like mammoth ivory or musk ox boss that would drive up the price or make more difficult to ship.

This is a 5" drop point hunter in AEB-L with cryo to HRc-62 - This one will buy personal hunting knife from now on.

Think I may start donating 10% of the proceeds to some of Cancer foundations in America from the sale of each Survivor knife I make.
