Hi Folks
Here is the first of two forged Bushcraft knives just off the workbench...
The 'Bushmaster', a sturdy outdoor companion incorporating the important aspects of a bushcraft knife; robust construction, a comfortable handle, full, tapered tang for strength and balance, a sharp spine for use with ferro rods, a spear point in line with the handle centre and a true convex scandi grind that has been hand finished. The latest iteration of this awesome Bushcraft tool.
This blade is hand forged from 26C3 carbon steel (also known as 'Spicy White) and features a beautiful beautiful Hamon where the blade has been differentially hardened. Below the Hamon line (the cutting edge) is about 63 HRC while above it is a lot softer to lend the blade toughness needed for Bushcrafting. It has stabilized Spalted Beech scales and G10 liners, a mosaic pin up front, lanyard tube at the back and comes in a custom fitted leather sheath that has been hand stitched, with toolwork and a dangler.
- Blade thickness: 4.1mm (0.16")
- Blade length: 123mm (4.8")
- Overall length: 235mm (9.25")
- Handle material: Stabilized Spalted Beech with G10 liners.
- Fittings: Brass pins, mosaic pin and lanyard tube.
- Weight without sheath: 210g (7.5oz)
- Weight with sheath: 330g (11.7oz)
- Full, tapered tang with sharp 90 degree spine. Comes with a custom fitted sheath and dangler as seen.
490 Euro
