Coming up with names for knives has got to be the toughest thing ever. So I am naming this one Lightfield. The design came from one of Brian Andrews Bark River Knives. I can't remember the name of it. But this is my take on the idea.

It is made from 3/32" D-2
5" Cutting edge
9 3/4" OAL
Just under an inch wide at the widest point.
Black Canvas Scales and Stainless hardware

Thanks for lookin
Nick:)

Looks like a real light one indeed! What sort of tasks is this design geared towards? Looks like a real slicer and sticker too.

Thanks guys, the main idea on this one is food prep. and butchering game. It would also serve as a good fillet knife. I am sure it can handle some camp work too.
I am hoping that I will get a chance to try it on a deer this weekend. My son and I are heading out tomorrow for a afternoon hunt. It is the youth hunt this weekend. So hopefully he will have some luck on his side.

Nick:)

Whoa! Just saw this now: nice and slim! Just like a lady I used to know :)

Looks like a very nice camp companion! I think the inspiration for the design Nick was referring to was the Bark River Canadian Sportsman. I'm really liking this version though since the handle looks a lot more versatile compared with the Barkie
