I figured NOLA would appreciate this. I think we should have this AND the Dutch Oven cobbler next year at TrackRock
Back in the day when in Boy Scouts we made these using charcoal. I thought if I ever wanted to make one with you around I would need to be prepared to have an alternative heat source. :D

I've got another sets of these pans so I'm good for 2 pies. :thumbsup:
 
That looks delicious. I prefer charcoal because it's easier to calibrate .....unless Luca917 Luca917 brings it.
Thanks! Charcoal usually takes 35 mins or so. Over these coals it was a quick 20 mins. I was lucky I checked it earlier than normal.
