The "Whatever" Thread

I've tried horizontal carry and it's not for me. Many years ago I had a custom leather sheath that used rare earth magnets. It worked well but that style of carry just doesn't suit me.
Lighter knives I enjoye and real heavy nothing in between if that makes sense

When a local coach asked us if our son would like to join his AAU basketball team, I very reluctantly agreed to let Thomas play. I understand that it's good for him to develop friendships with others and to improve his skill set.

So far, we've enjoyed watching them play and have done more than our share of fund raising. I've noticed that the parents who seem to be the most vocal(on the group chat) about fund-raising are also the ones who do the least amount of actual work. I've also noticed that the parents of the least talented or motivated players are more vocal about the game than other parents. I have to wonder what kind of lives some people live when everything seems to be centered around a little boy playing a game.

Participation in their sports takes on a excited tone, and enthusIa stud, but it needs to keep common sense, if the parents are displaying bad sportsmanship than what example are you showing the kids? Also, get involved and have fun with it, but if you get so involved with lots of sports and activities where you are rushing around all week, when do you and kids just get a chance to unwind? And spend time together? All good, but keep it perspective.

At the last tournament one of the other coaches called a timeout and was literally screaming at the kids like a mad man. A little later in the game he called timeout again and was telling the players he didn't know what was wrong "they were supposed to be having fun" 😖

The specialist said they should be able to help me, but I still need to see another surgeon on July 17th to confirm. Hopefully by then the streets should be back open, they have been closing some of them for the bullshit NASCAR race. Chicago is run by the stupidest people.

Hang in there buddy!!

After I rode my motorcycle to Duquoin for the flat track mile race, I headed to Owensboro KY and spent a day with my 85 yo Dad, then got up the next morning and headed back to paradise (home in south-central TN).

I got within 1 mile of my home exit on I24 and got stopped by TN troopers who blocked the road to clear an accident. I was literally the second car in the embrolio.

I could SEE my exit in the distance.

The wreck was two hippie chicks leaving Bonnaroo who drove into the median, which is extra wide and tree covered in this location.

One of the troopers got in the hippie-chickmobile and was able to drive it out and park it on the other shoulder.

Total stoppage was 15 minute, thanks to our excellent LEOs down here.
