Three san mai damascus blades waiting to get the proper handle.

And a groovy micarta piece I've made by adding corn grains on the flat surface of the press.

very very cool, i love the san mai, and the micarta looks great too, craftsmanship and imagination combined,
tell us some more about the steels and the micarta process
jon

how is it that your finishing the micarta looks way more smooth then i can get with the stuff ive been making

Thank you :)

The top two ones are 1085 and stainless 416 with a 52100 core and the integral one is 1010 and 1070, also with a 52100 core.

This is one of them already finished:
6 1/2" total length with a 3" blade. "Groovy" micarta slabs and copper pins.

The slabs are centered on the handle and follow the lines of the tang, even if in some pictures it doesn't appear that way because of the perspective.

WOW!!! Love the blades on those.

What would something like the second blade down cost finished? Ballpark figure would be nice. I'm saving my $$ for another new knife. :D
