This is the second pair that I have created in this blade pattern and size.
I like them a lot and think they can be very useful in the kitchen for many quick meals and tons of daily chores.
This time around I kicked the tang up a bit for more clearance under the handle for knuckles, making this an even better choice for quick meal-prep.

OAL on these is 11.5" with the blades @ 5.5". 1095 with clay differential heat treatment, and resulting hamon.
The handles are African Blackwood with Black-Mesquite Inlay and "Tribal-Wrap" of 1mm woven cotton line, that has been registered into the handle epoxy-soaked.
The mesquite I chose has a fine "frogs-hair" curl to it and is really amazing, I captured it fairly well in the detail shot of the handles.

I hope you enjoy seeing these two as much as I enjoyed creating them:)

-DON:)

p.s. yes these still need to be sharpened....I tend to always shoot my knives before sharpening them for ease of handling.
