Okay Hunting Community. What bow and broadhead you using this year AND what rifle and caliber you using?

Mine is a Hoyt Element with Muzzy 3 blade or G5 Montac...Rifle is Marlin .30-30 150gr

Ruger Gunsite Scout (.308)

Not sure of my ammo yet, still looking for suggestions and I'm heading to the range Thursday to test 3-4 different types and which one will work best.

Horton Legend 175, and a old Savage 110 30.06, before the accu-trigger, I still love it!

Remington 870 express mag in a 12 bore. Probably just going to use whatever slug is around the house. For late doe season hopefully the 6mm-.284 I'm starting to build this week!:D

Marlin 336 wearing a Nikon Prostaff 2-7x32 with Hornady Leverevolution 160 grain. I'm comfortable out to 200 yds or so. Money has been tight since X-mas, so I sold all of my guns back in January except for the Marlin and a CZ82 in 9x18 Mak. :(

If things don't go well with my bowtech assassin with grim reaper heads, then its time for the traditions pursuit muzzleloader to come out. The savage 110 in 308 is batting clean-up.

As for bow, I am not sure yet. As far as gun, since rifles are illegal (If I could, I'd use the .30-30) I use a 20 gauge Ithaca Model 37 Deer Slayer II with Lightfield slugs.

Old Browning 20 Gauge auto (Belgium made) ~~ and for Middle Tn. unit L I will be laying them down with a Browning A Bolt 25WSSM with Zeiss 3x9 Scope and I quit Bow hunting and Balck Powder about 3 years ago because you can only eat so much Venison a year and as it is I donate 2 Deer a year to feed the hungry.

Ill be using this thing...if I get it done. If not then my trusty 700BDL .30-06

1917 Eddystone barrel stamped 10-18. .30-06, 168gr SPP hand loads do just fine, sub MOA out to ~175 (barely, but it counts!).

Did you ever end up finding a good performing hunting round for the Ruger Gunsite Scout?

I will be useing my Bowtech Allegiance with magnum Slicktrick 100 grain broadheads. Going to get back into firearms hunting after 15 years. I will be useing my new Ruger Super redhawk in 454 Casull with Hornady 300 grain XTP bullets. For Muzzle loader I have my T/C Black diamond with 100 grains of American Pioneer Powder with 240 grain XTP sabots.

Wal-mart always sells a ton of 30-06, .270 and 30-30 when the deer season hits. Not sure which caliber is the most popular, but I'd venture a guess and say that the old 30-06 might be at the top of the heap. Many folks in the 'know' choose the venerable .308 (7.62x51) over all of these.

Weatherby MKV .300 mag with 3x9 Burris, overkill I know, but I love the gun, shoots straight!
Browning Belgium A-5 12 gauge for some thick stuff I will be hunting in - best shotguns ever in my opinion
Will butcher everything up with my Mike Williams hunter - love the blade, holds an edge. looks good in black paper micarta and brushed 416
