Question Where did the NEW POST option go?

I can no longer just go to the FORUMS page (my default BF opening) and find NEW POSTS, I need to click into a subform before I see NEW POSTS in the menu bar.

Am I just remembering wrong? It is the new format that I asking about.

It happened to me too, I have to do the same thing. I like the new forum layout, but I mostly use my phone so I'm in the crowd that still really misses Tapatalk. I wish we had our own BF app! :rolleyes:
 
Someone else brought it up in another post. The tabs at the top seem to be showing the "categories" quick links instead of "forums" quick links when on the home page. On my pc I can hover on the right side of the box that says "forums" and an arrow appears with a drop down menu that has the hot links. Other than that, like you said, just have to click into a subforum to get it to work right.
 
It shows on my phone in both orientations but only in portrait on my tablet. If I rotate the screen for landscape it behaves like everyone else has posted.

Both devices are android but several versions apart and I use Firefox.
 
I've noticed that clicking on "Categories" or "Forums" takes me to the same url... https://www.bladeforums.com/ ...and only highlights the "Categories" tab. I'm not sure if there was any other purpose for having those two separate tabs, other than the different sub links, but apparently the "Forums" tab is broken. It only gets highlighted and displays the proper sub links if I'm in a sub forum.

If I click on any of the other tabs, such as "Media", it will take me to a different url that relates to that particular tab... https://www.bladeforums.com/media/ ..and highlight that tab as well. I also just noticed that, under the sub links, there's another "home" icon and "Media" link, but in the previous pic, the "Categories" tab is highlighted, but it says "Forums" below the sub links. Another thing I just noticed is that, clicking either one of those "home" icons takes me to the http link instead of the https link, which causes me to get logged out.

On desktop you can just hover your mouse over the 'Forums' option and it'll be at the bottom.

On mobile you have to tap on the expandable menu at the far left of the main menu, and then tap the arrow to expand the 'forums' link and it'll be at the bottom of that menu too.

I bookmarked the Watched Forums page, my usual starting point, and that page has the New Posts link just below the other menus.
