Why does the new software not hold my login?

New thing it started doing today is switching the format style from the default to flat awesome if not logged in.

Really hoping the log in and email thing gets fixed soon. The log out thing is really getting bad for me. It will log me out while on the forum and not let me log back in but if I close the page and open it again from my desktop shortcut I am logged in.

I've been experiencing the issue the past week. Clearing the cache doesn't work--only switching to the https:// version of the url does. I'm using Chrome on a Mac.

Really very annoying. It is effecting the amount of time I spend here.

I completely agree... not only is it frustrating to deal with on a day-to-day basis but it has also hampered my ability to buy and sell on the exchange several times. That is really annoying since it's a privilege I pay for. Hopefully it gets fixed soon but I not holding my breath.

What I do is bookmark a certain page and then launch BladeForums from there and I'm logged in. If I click on a link from an email notification, it doesn't log me in. I dunno why

Is this being actively addressed? There hasn't been a response about is for a bit. it's getting worse every couple days making getting around the site a real pita getting logged out every couple mins or thread changes.

I'm glad I'm not the only one having major issues with this... I really love this site but I have already migrated more of my time to other knife sites because this problem seems to be "out of sight, out of mind" IMHO. It would be nice to at least get an update here and there about any progress that is being made for this problem.

Don't click on the Home buttons or the Bladeforums Logo to get to the home page, click on the 'forums' or 'categories' buttons instead. I have yet to be unintentionally logged out in weeks, If you change your bookmarks to the secure home page https://www.bladeforums.com and clear your cache, the only way you should be logged out is if you accidentally click a link that doesn't have an 'https://www.", and while the bladeforums logo and the home buttons are incorrect links the rest of the site is fine at the moment. If you click a link and find yourself logged out, just click the back button and check the link to make sure it starts with 'https://www.', if it doesn't go ahead and add that to the link and try again.

This is exactly how I've been navigating the forums with zero issues for weeks.

They already have our money, why should we get a response. It can't be easy to fix a glitch for people that created the entire forum , that I pay to support. Or to take the time to chyme in once in a while with an update. Guess its no big deal for the Bigs.... Beggars aren't choosers, just don't renew any membership next time and take the loss in the meantime. :).....Why renew, since i'm always logged out like a non member anyways

If by "they" you mean kevin...

Stick around, kevin is active and will address this. He has a life and kids and a family. Either this place is more to you than the exchange or it isn't.

what??....whoever, I don't care, just show you care....most people have families and a life. It took me 30 seconds to respond to this thread....This area is for Tech support...correct?

still doesn't work.....

If you prefer to complain about it not working to your standards instead of following the helpful tips given in this thread until it gets fixed, that is ultimately your problem. There has been enough input from members here about stopgap solutions that only ignorance is stopping you from using the forum normally.

For me, when I click either of these 3 places, I go to https://www.bladeforums.com and stay logged in.

If I click either of these 3 places (below), I go to www.bladeforums.com and I'm logged out and can't log in. Also, once I'm routed off of the https site by clicking one of these places, the previous 3 links that worked, don't work anymore either. They just take me to www addresses instead of https addresses. I then have to go click on my bookmarked https link, but I don't have to log back in, it works like I never was actually logged out.

If you don't click on the problem buttons, you won't get logged out. If you do get logged out, click the back button on your browser and try again. If you clicked a link and it logs you out, click the back button in your browser and copy/paste the link into your browser's address bar to modify it so it starts with 'https://www.', then you can go to the link without being logged out.

Simple, easy, and almost certainly temporary until Spark can fix it.

I assume they are fixing the problem since no response and so many complaints keep coming. I am just letting that person know the problem is not fixed. Assuming they think the problem is now fixed.....since theres no response or updates, or anything...

and no I don't want to complain
