If it’s not specifically walnut wood you want, why not make your own or order some custom made ones? My latest have some really nice Desert ironwood scales
It’s a very dense wood, and after oiling it will withstand moisture or shrinking/swelling

I usually do something closer to builds than mods, rebuilds you might call them 
I strip down the knife and only keep the springs and tools and makes my own liners and scales. Therefore, when peening new pins makes them exposed. I like the vintage vibe with them exposed
