I recently got myself a Gossman Big Boar Tusker in S7 and I've been needing to learn some basic skills, like how to make a pot hook:( I know I know, amateur hour right?

So I wanted to work out the new blade, get some practice in, and see if I could do the whole thing with a BIG blade.

Using the chest lever to cut points

Batoning ;) towards the X I had already battoned to form the notch

Back to work. I had to shorten one of the legs of my anchor, but there is not room in there for a 2" wide blade, what to do?

Finished product, it wouldn't work with a fire, but I was just practicing the techniques, and it held a full bottle

Close up of the notch, not great, but pretty good I think. This was my first successful pot hook
