Check out these lil' cuties!!!

K5KardaMinis0801-01.jpg

I had some extra 0.140" thick CPM 3V laying around....so I decided to make some of these K5 Kardas...it wasn't long enough to make them full size....so these cuties will get handles and be dubbed K5 Minis! :D

I am putting together the first batch of Survivors to go to heat-treat. Here's what they look like "pre-heat-treat".

I left the pen and K5 Kardas there for size/scale reference.

Also, I markered in where the handle will go. These are HUGE...but lighter than you think. But still huge/heavy. :D

Hopefully the first 15 of these will leave the shop today or Monday!

Here's what's on order (steel-wise)

3/16" CPM 3V - for the BushMaster
3/16" O1 - also for the BushMaster

5/32" O1 - for Kardas, misc.

5/32" S30V - for K-TUSKs, Bushcrafts

1/8" CPM 3V - for Bushcrafts

1/4" A2 - for a few BIG KNIVES on order :D

0.100" 12C27 - for mini nessmuks

All in all about 300 lbs of the stuff....

Thank goodness steel prices are going down....

I need to get one of the K5's or K6's one of these days. It would be perfect for goat foot cutting, because it has a tip you can scrape dirt and stuff out from the hoof with but the way the tip is positioned if the animal jerked around you wouldn't stab it or yourself:thumbup:

What a haul Dan! You've got a lot of work cut out for you! :D
