You guys see the new Busse Megalodon?

The design is cool, and it definately looks wicked. But it seems useless except for going into battle. Maybe with a flat poll or hammer, it would be a useful tool.
 
I have an axe/hawk by a custom maker that has a D2 head of remotely similar design (not nearly as pointy of a spike). He intended the main edge for regular wood chopping or for meat cutting. The sharpened front end on mine is pretty flat and was intended to be a hide scraper or for mincing up food (say, onions). The more rounded spike on mine was intended for cracking the pelvis or breastbone on game being quartered (the spike's edge is not as acute as the main edge and would presumably tolerate bone impacts better).

I must admit that I haven't field tested mine yet, but the design theory made a certain amount of sense. Although the Busse may have been developed as a fighter (I don't know), I mention my custom axe/hawk to suggest some possible practical applications for similar features.
