Quick question. Just bought an air rifle and bought a 2-7 x 32mm scope. What's a good distance to sight in at? And if I sight in at say 30 yards, will it only be accurate at 30 yards?

Sight it in at whatever distance you will most often use it. Your pellet will travel in a trajectory, which means that gravity will ultimately pull it to the ground, so depending on the distance you choose the pellet will either be rising or falling (i.e. you will be hitting higher or lower as the distance varies).

Hopefully you bought an air gun scope. One specifically built for spring piston air rifles. The double recoil of a spring piston air rifle can destroy rifle scopes.

Yeah I've had springers before, this one has a piston. I shot open sights though. My RWS 48 I used around my house for pests with a scope, so 30 yards worked perfect here. I'd like to venture out into the woods with my new gun and the woods are no one fixed distance.
