A good customer wanted a slightly different version of the Zombie Hunter. By slightly different I mean same steel and heat treat (differentially heat treated 52100 at .200 thick) but with a longer handle and shape and more of the BEEK style blade. This is what we came up with. I actually had to do 2x the work as he ordered one for him and one for a friend plus a little booger. I am freaking wiped out after all the finish work on these guys.

First version by request

Nice and clean, I like it.

Ditto the clean comment - almost too clean to cut a zombie with. Did you have a chance to swing that thing to see how it cuts?

if I have to read the word 'zombie' one more time, I am going to puke out the human brains I consumed earlier. I mean, seriously, just because I'm a zombie doesn't mean I don't have feelings! I may be undead, but how do you think it makes me feel when you name your knife 'Zombie Hunter'? Well, it doesn't feel very nice. I feel unwanted and unloved, it makes me want to chew someone's arm off... in fact, hey, what were we talking about again? I'm super hungry... gotta go...
uuuuhhhhgggggggggggaahhhhhhhh

Very well done but be careful with the carbon steel as Zombie blood is very acidic:eek::eek:

Can we get a side by side picture Of both versions ?
If its not to much trouble ! Btw I like it ...

The zombie should feel happy to be whacked, chopped and cut down into pieces with such an awesome large knife :D
I like that
Congrats to both of you the maker and the custodian of the knife :)

I love the first one man, giant tanto chopper, great lines. What are the specs on that one?

Same thickness and steel. 18" overall, 13" of blade. Probably gonna be another year or more before I do big ones like that again. I just finished up another of the version 2s and will be putting it up for sale. (I always make extra, just in case I mess something up) Dan
