Right On! I felt so lonely here in Hawaii as a "knife nut". This site helped me realize others have this "problem" and I am not crazy (wife still thinks I'm crazy but thats another story

I'd like to add my thanks to the list. This site is the best there was, the best there is, and the best(hopefully) there ever will be!

Thank you Mike and Spark. You created this environment and keep it running. And thnks to us all for making it a community. WOW!

I would also like to express my appretiation for this place. Mike, Spark and everyone who has contributed, have made bladeforums the friendliest and most informative knife site on the net. Keep up the good work guys, as I will be here forever to watch it grow.

Well done, Mike and Spark. I post little but learn a lot. I certainly appreciate all the effort put into maintaining this site. One thing, though, about the October giveaway--it's got nothing to do with nitrogen, does it?

Congrats to BFC and all the people who make it tick.
It is indeed a great pleasure to visit this site to read, learn and sometimes comment on the subject of knives.

I learned a lot here - I also spent much more money buying knives than I would have spent without reading BF. I also did not buy some knives following others advices... and I bought knives I have never heard before...
I found many people who share the same interests with me - which increased my e-mail traffic significantly...
Overall - GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!!

David

I too, would like to thank Mike and Spark for creating this forum. Thanks to this forum I can talk about knives with other people who know what I mean. The forums have become a major part of my knife collecting hobby.

160k hits a day and 50 million hits to date.

That is truly amazing. Especially considering less than a yr old!

This is a tribute to the creators of this forum, the easily usable format, and the hard work and quality of the moderators!

Oh ya, says something about the members here too - some intelligent, civil, and enthusiastic people.

Wasn't knifeforums.com sort of a predesesor to bladeforms.com?

To date I think the best legacy BF has provided is to stand as a place that we can all point to as a place with great people and a sense of community.

The moderation is not needed all that often, and though we have had our flights of fancy lately with just about every creature under the sun, we can all be proud that, by and large, this community consists of mostly rational, mostly sober (MOSTLY), and mostly fun men and women who cannot be pegged as nutjobs by larger society.

Our strength as a community stems from both the fact that we DO share a common hobby but we DON'T share just one particular mindset or worldview on anything, including knives, which tends to spook people who do not understand us.

Let's keep it up for another 100,000+ posts!

This place is a the best, here's to another 100,000. You've managed to maintain a forum with a very distinctive feel to it, friendly informative and free of attitude.

Thanks Mike and Spark for a job well done. And to the other forumites for their input as well.

Congradulations to Mike, Spark, Jim, and others for making bladeforums such a wonderful place!

Here's to 200K posts by Y2K!!!
