1084 Heat treat ? short sword

Hey guys , I need a little advice on the tempering of my wasteland short sword. I am wondering what hrs would be a good harness for a blade of this size and function. If you don't know the specs they are
1084@.250
18" blade
Distal taper of the front 5"
It will be mainly used for chopping and clearing heavy brush and whatnot.
I have it tempered to about 57-58 as of now, but am just wondering as to how tough it will be for a blade of that size

Hey Jet,
I can't really help you, but I know Rick Marchand (wildertools.com) makes some waki's with 15" blades out of 1084, so if no one else answers, I'd shoot him an email and ask what he hardens too.
