Wow. Stunning. How do you get the curvature of the bolsters to match up with the slabs so we'll?
The bolsters are installed and then the scales are fitted to the bolsters. In the beginning, it can be a little tedious, but after practice and a lot of patience, the job becomes faster and you will learn to see where the handle material needs to come off for a tight fit. It does help that I was a custom gunsmith for many years and built a lot of stocks for single shot rifles and double barrel shotguns. My mentor was very adamant about perfection at fitting the metal into the wood. With the handles on knives, it is just opposite. You fit the wood to the metal.
