I am looking at doing a Wakizashi in 4mm 19c27 using a 16inch blade for my next but next project.

Looking at a scandi grind, leaving 1mm of edge thickness until after heat treatment before taking it to sharp edge.

Any ideas of how the heat treatment should go RC? and if deep freezing would make it too hard? I am not enthusiastic over a polished finish?
