Eric! Man how's it going. Eh. (Gotta work on my Canadian) Good to hear from you.

I'm doing good, been real busy, my girls keep me hopping.

No prob on the info, glad to do it. It's a great time.

Birthday...Uhmm.... I've got something with Spyderco on it. Will that work? It's a box to the Spyderco you got from me a few years ago. Hey, you could get a paper cut from that. :p We can celibrate your birthday at the new Hooters that opened up a few minutes away. They do some real, uhm, special things for birthday's.

Hope you can spend some more time this year. Tell Diotte to get off his butt and get across the border this year. I'll give him that cornbread I've saved from last year.

Looking forward to seeing you. Bring some pics of your kids.

Take care,
Tom

I'm actually gonna make this year.........FINALLY!!! I am so psyched already.

Maybe I'll take a ride over on Saturday.

Is there a list of exhibitors available?

Is there anyone headed there from the Kalamazoo area that can do a carpool?

I would really like to go, but with gas being like it is, its a little out of my price range.... (my truck doesnt get very good mileage)

I would be happy to chip in some cash for gas and whatnot.

Thanks
Ben

Midget: Thanks for bringing this back up.

I will be there! Can't wait! Eric, are you going to have any supplies on hand to sell there? Duh. Don't know why I didn't think of that when I emailed you a few days ago! Can't wait to meet some of the guys I have known online for years! :D Hopefully I'll sell a couple knives by then so I can buy some stuff, but those dates are coming on fast! Doh!

...Not what I did for Bud Weston a few years ago..

Bud has been urging me for years to come down and check out this show (He LOVES it) - so, this year, I'm driving down with my son. Looking foward to seeing you.

BTW, I understand that Toronto knifemaker Darren Chard might have a table there? I don't see him listed. Wait 'til you see what Darren is doing in the way of anodizing. Amazing!

Updated exhibitor list....

Keep on post'in if you're going to be there.

Tom

Hey guys, I'd enjoy meeting any of you face-to-face! You'll know me by the long run of drool coming out of one (or both) corner of my mouth and the glazed, confused look on my face! Actually, if I had to guess, I''ll probably be wearing a North Face hat and a gray North Face fleece jacket. If you spot a purple silicone bracelet (like those Lance Armstrong ones) that says "Align the Spine" you can bet it's me! :D

We're planning on coming Saturday but I have to play it by ear. This Friday I'm having carpal tunnel surgery and hope to be able to walk the dogs by then. We'll bring them with us so they're not home alone all day.

So, If you see a big guy, short (shaved) hair, with a brace on his right wrist and a lady who is disproportionally better looking than him, it's probably me and my wife :D

Hello Everyone-

I'm relatively new to Bladeforums but I'm a certified addict! I've love the opportunity to learn from all of you out there who are so knowledgable it's almost scary. I've posted a few times to the Bernard Levine forum and have received wonderful responses that have educated me more in one post than a year's worth of reading knife pricing/collector's guides.

I've been waiting for the Wolverine show ever since I heard about it six months or so ago. I'm a life long knife lover though a fairly new collector. It's been such a wonderful journey this past year coming across a ton of amazing knives...at garage sales, estate sales, antique shops...and online.

I plan on joining the Wolverine Knife Club at the show and am really looking forward to meeting a bunch of fellow knife nut's like myself! Thank you Tom for posting all this info about the show and it's exhibitors!

I hope to meet some of you at the show...though I suppose without a Bladeforums badge it might be a bit difficult to know...hmm, there's a thought?

See ya at the show!

Jason

Like I said, you should be able to ID me pretty darn easily! :D Hope to run into you! Maybe I'll tote my official Bladeforums.com knife bag around like it's got something important in it, too! :D

Howdy Gents,

Chiro75: I'm thinking this is looking like a business trip for you with a complete write off. How you ask? Well, since cpirtle needs rehab from his surgery I'm sure you'll perscribe exercising his flexor tendons by handling and opening as many folders as he can. Of course because he needed to consult with an out of state Doc.

cpirtle: Good luck on Friday, I'm sure all will go well. Now for you I bet you can deduct the show from your medical insurance. Of course that includes the Lightfoot, Elishewitz or Sebenza purchased as rehabilitation equipment.

Yep, that's me, always thinking......

locrian: Welcome to the forums! You'll be tripping over your tonuge at the show. You think the people are great here, wait until you meet them in person, some of the most genuine people you'll meet. If your looking for something particular let us know and we'll point you in the right direction. I'll show you some makers you'll need to meet.

I'm hoping to see all of you at the show. I'll be there Friday but not sure what I'll be wearing from work. And I'll be there all day on Saturday hanging and helping out where I can. I think Saturday I'll just be wearing blue jeans and my black short sleeve Martial Blade Craft shirt with a yellow Spyderco symbol on the left chest. I'll also have a white name tag posted at center mass with my name and forum ID. Add tall, glasses and a cheesy mustache (and less hair than I'd like). Oh, and a 10" IWB Bowie and a few folders I'm sure, and probably some trainers. Please stop me to say hi.

Take care,
Tom

P.S. Keep on posting......

Haha, I like your thinking!

I will keep an eye out for you guys if we make it up for the show.

Thanks for the well wishes, I'm looking forward to getting this done, just not the time it will take before I can get back into the shop :)

Good point! I'll make sure I tell his wife that an important part of post-surgical therapy is also reaching into the wallet and extracting money to pay for knives as frequently as possible, too! :D
