I actually prefer this, that color looks great!Decent color on these. Could be a little darker, but hey, it’s not pink.Of the three 77s I’ve got from this run (the other two being Ebony and Richlite), this is the only one without a mushy, snap-less blade, though the pull is a little on the weak side.

Same exact thing here. These red bone barlows sure are nice. Mine is still sitting in Oklahoma City since 3/31.![]()
Looks like mine is finally coming tomorrow.I actually prefer this, that color looks great!
Same exact thing here.
This was my experience with my blood red bone Barlow as well. After a lot of flushing, the main is now has an ok action, but the pen is very lazy. Better than it was when new (there was very little snap at all - it needed a full push to half stop and nearly a full push to close) but still a disappointing action for such a beautiful knife.I received the red sawcut today as well and I have to say I am pretty deflated. I waited a looong time to get a 77, being unwilling to pay the secondary prices... The walk and talk on the main is okay (I'd give it a 4 on receipt and a 5 after flushing). The pen is just terrible. Lazy to the half stop; worse still half stop to open (total mush). It really reminds me of my little Case pen knife, which I love for what it is but this is a GEC 77 Barlow for Pete's sake... I've put a fair bit of mineral oil through both and while some improvement I'm just, well, massively disappointed. I know, "boo hoo", but dang...
Mine is still “in transit - arriving late.”Looks like mine is finally coming tomorrow.
Sorry to hear that! That is pretty much the same as mine -- after a fair bit of flushing the pen will now snap closed with a push a bit beyond the half-stop. They are definitely lookers though! This was my experience with my blood red bone Barlow as well. After a lot of flushing, the main is now has an ok action, but the pen is very lazy. By comparison, my 2018 77 desert ironwood (which is a S model) has a near perfect main blade action and the sheepsfoot secondary is a bit lazy but still better than the blood red from this run.
Still a very nice nice, but I sympathize with your disappointment.
I wouldn't even consider that a defect at all,it's a soup bone nowHere is aknifeswapper “store model” 77 SFO-
The defect is absurdly minor and actually sort of adds character to the knife.
Out of the tube the mainView attachment 2844404View attachment 2844405 is a 5, secondary is a 3, but both seem to want flushing out of the joint.
Pretty cool knife, so glad these “store models” get sold instead of being melted down and made into Rough Riders…..!

Wow, great job getting them all! Those camel bones and CK sfo's are the best of this run, imo.View attachment 2848424View attachment 2848425
Awesome run. Actions are way better after a good flush
