Hello,
I wanted to make a hawkbill for myself, to carry. I like hawkbills and wharnies a lot and I’ve been wanting to forge some 80crv2 to try out. I really enjoyed working with this steel.
I got it to a pretty impressive 68 Rockwell out of the quench and tempered it to 62.
The scales are silver carbon fiber with a leather wrap that is inset around the palm swell.
I’ll carry it for a while and see how well it does.
Thanks for looking!
