I have a special sword for one of you lucky fathers. Right now I only
have one, so it will be first come, first served!

Rajkumar, the Prince Kami, made this Kothimoda Katana Sword and
the silver sheath that goes with it for an early Father's Day Special
for you HI forumites. The sheath is made of silver and a mix of nickle
silver to harden the sheath and protect it from damage. He decorated
it with coral and turquoise to make it even more beautiful.

Rajkumar takes a tremendous amount of time to make his beautiful
swords and knives and continues to surprise me with his talent. He
also make fine jewelry from gold and silver.

One of you will have a superior Father's Day gift handmade by a
very talented craftsman.

WOW !! The scabbard alone is mind boggling...
Well done Rajkumar, and what an incredible offering Yangdu.

Really nice work, but it's not a set. Silver scabbard and a sword with brass fittings, two nice pieces, but not a set. It's a shame because each piece is amazing in its' own right.

It is a Set. Kothimodae are customarily made this way. It's a shame you took this opportunity to bash such a nice piece.

Thats a very lovely Katana! You don't see many Kothimoda Katanas.

I've seen some Kothimoda knives with Silver, or white metal hardware and some with Brass like this one. Personally I'm liking the contrast between the Silver, brass and stones. I feel that it makes the whole thing Pop! :D A short (Wakizashi?) version would be hard for me to resist...

Karda, I was looking at the kothimoda on the HI website, check it out: http://yhst-7333098713883.stores.yahoo.net/koflmo.html
The metals all match. Also, it's a matter of taste. You have a right to your style, but I also have a right to mine. Trust me, someone will buy this beauty no matter what I say about it!

That's the Kothimoda that I was talking about when I said that some come matching and some don't. :) I like your attitude. BTW If I had the money I'd be all over it. I'd build a new sheath for it for when I use it out in the field and keep the silver one on the wall for show and storage.
