A Great Bug Site

If you're fascinated by weird bugs, like I am, you will get a lot of enjoyment from this site, What's That Bug?. My favorite part is the "carnage" link, where frightened people send in pictures of horrifying (but usually harmless) bugs they have squished, and want an identification. The site owner's responses are beautifully understated, like "Oh, the carnage. This is a Sugar Maple Borer..." or my personal favorite, "Hi Sarah, Poor, harmless, dead House Centipede never did anything to harm anyone." Priceless!

I think BugGuide.net is the best online resource for identifying North American insects, spiders, etc. No "carnage" section, though.
