Good question - I did some internet research for that topic - here´s a link with the main meals we have here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bavarian_cuisine

Beautiful scenery Andi. The trees took their time getting properly green around here, but now it's just about perfect.

LOL... No - not a Schweinshaxe mit Erdäpfelsalat I had a Surbraten mit Knödel - just for your interesst and one litre fine wheat beer (Weißbier).
The trees have now a great green ... not that darkgreen like in summer. Just perfect to walk around in the scenery

Andi, it looks like it was a great day. Frauline Rogge was talking to me about your Father's Day with me recently, I like the way you guys do it, talkign a walk and being in nature etc.
It sure looks like a nice area you picked too.
I am seriously considering a trip to Germany soon!

I think you definitelly won´t regret going over here. It´s nice, especially when it´s not winter 
And I´m sure you´ll also enjoy the traditional bavarian kitchen
Usually on Fathers Day you take some friends, one or two boxes of beer (which means 20 bottles per box), some bikes and riding around the whole day (and drinking too much). Not really my cup of tea, but ok...
