Trying to make my first Kydex sheath that I can mount between the pouches on my FLC(fighting load carrier). Here is a picture of similar gear to mine; I want the sheath to ride between and behind the mag and universal pouches. My issue gear is older than most so it has more flex than the modern ones. ( http://www.armygear.net/armygear/ima...s/01031_lg.jpg )(Not my gear but similar stuff)

I stumbled upon the MOLLE Lok system and it looks to be just the solution that I am looking for to fix the sheath to the MOLLE webbing. My issue comes around attaching the MOLLE lok to the kydex sheath. My current thought is to mount the MOLLE Lok on a mounting plate that is then attached to the sheath ( similar to this http://www.redhillsheaths.com/sitebu...inMid-Tech.JPG ), but I fear that this might push the sheath to far out between the pouches. Also I am only using one MOLLE lok due to the how thin the sheaths will be.

What other non-permanent methods are available for attaching the MOLLE Lok to the sheath? I haven't ordered any materials so I can't do any measurements but I am planning on 0.80 thickness Kydex with an ACU pattern front and black back to make it reversible to a degree.

Grog,

Use Chicago Screws to attach the MOLLE Lok directly to the sheath through your eyelets. BTI makes the MOLLE Lok with attachment holes 3/4" apart.

MALICE clips work very well also, and of course paracord. Email me if you need any help.
