Hi,

after thethreads over Bavaria and South Australia, I would like to share a few pictures from east of France.
So, I took my camera, the dogs, and out in the green....

Introducing:

Elya, Australian Shepherd:

Doogie, Border Collie:

Guizmo, Australan Shepherd:

Leaving the house:

A look to Germany, Saarbrücken! The border is 2 miles from my home.

Turn left when you reach the bottom of the valley.

A look back, on my house.

Pass it:

Follow the path:

Turn your head left, my village: IPPLING.

Follow the track:

My playground:

Some knifeporn, but no Busse today, sorry:D

Six weeks without rain, the dried out creek:

Before reaching home, turn back, and have a last look on my playground:

So, that was it, spring just reached us 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Next time we will have more colors, sun, etc..

Thanks for looking

Beautiful countryside and dogs.
thanks for sharing

Great looking dogs, spectacular countryside...it reminds me of a few places in MA

Looks like nice land, but not many trees, so I wouldn't do well there

Wow, that is beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing your pic's! Love the pups too

small world. i lived in Zweibrücken, Germany for a couple yrs way back in the 80's. i think about a half hour from you? funny to recognize the landscape on a knife site....

Tucker the 1yr old greyhound would definitely like playing in those open fields:

Oooops!
I completely forgot this thread!

Thanks to all for the nice words.

Yes Gentemanngvm, you're right, Zweibrücken is about 30 minutes from my place, and we share landscape, weather, and some other stuff!;)

Last saturday we organized our annual campfire at my background.
As usual, we invited a few friends, and kids friends, and not forgetting, dogs friends for a nice evening outside, we had a fire, barbeque, and some amusements!

The gathering was fixed between 5:00 and 6:00 pm:

While men install the camp, and prepare the fireplace, the dogs keep the girls busy:

We finished at 20 people, and around 10 dogs!

Doogie was very busy keeping an eye on all his sheeps!

Puppies playing together:

Some guys shooting:

Young ones taking tours with the present vehicules:

Around 08:00 pm, the men started the operations with the grills:

That's one thing we have common with our friends from "Saarland" in Germany! It's called a "Schwenker":
It even demands precision in operations, so that one was not enough:

On the menue: german "Rostwurst", "Merguez" from North Africa, and fresh french "Baguette".
Drinks: german "Pils" and french wines!

After dinner, and for the rest of the night we enjoyed our fire:

I can't image something more enjoyable than discussions , dancing, singing, around a fireplace with friends.

At 2:00am we then went to bed, some in the house, some in the tents, some just around the fire!

J-Luc, Welcome here on the Busse Forum Bro!!! Great pics and a lot of memories for me as well. I was about 50 KM from you back in 1982-1984, Baumholder, Germany.
I always enjoyed those weekend trips camping, cooking brats, fresh breads and cheese, oh and the BEER/WINE:D:p. Again, thanks for the pics and those shepards are some beautiful pups.

Damn I knew that place looked familiar lol. I was stationed in baumholder in 2003. such a beautiful place. horrible weather though lol. sun, rain, sleet, snow all in one day :) the beer and brats were always tops for sure.

great pictures and thanks for sharing.

Makes me want to take a trip to Europe! I'd love to make it back to Germany and France. Thanks for sharing!

Breeeuuuuuhhhh!!!!
Cold there!:)
Looks like Münsingen for me!

I served one year in the french army.
Stationned me in Landau, Pfalz....-36°C in winter, +36°C in sommer!
But at that time the ennemy was east!
80's, cold war.....
But, we had a lot of beer!
Somehow, great time, even if 30 years later, you just remember the good time!
