While using my 15" Ang Khola to chop weeds yesterday I noticed that the very tip, maybe 1/8 to 1/3 of an inch was bent all the way over to one side. Should I try to pound it out straight, file it off, or just leave it alone. This was a Uncle Bill special I bought several years ago with a cracked handle that I use for yardwork, hunting, and camping.

Does it have a serial number on it? Mine's #168 with "Made in Nepal" also on the blade. Mine was also a "cracked handle" blem, and I've been using it for my yard work. I also bent the tip, and worked it back with a pair of pliers until I could hammer it straight. Not to get into a long story of all the "folds", dings, cracks in the handle, etc., but this is a great knife, and sees quite a bit of use every fall & spring.

Any tool you use heavily will suffer some. The question is will it keep on going with some routine maintenance.
