I've tried to buy several on the bay but have not been successful,at least so far.

Sport, just be patient... You'll find one... It took me a long time to find this one... But there out there... Buck made thousands of them... The price goes of up and down... Good Luck with the Hunt...

I’ve never seen these translucent 425 in the catalog. Armand, do you know anything about these knives? Or anybody else?

Haebbie, I've seen several different colors in the 425's but don't have any yet...
They were samples that never made it to the production line...

After literally years of periodic checking, a new 482 finally popped up for $19, and I grabbed it. Year stamp is 2017.

You can see I rounded off the pommel on my 112 Slim

I'll be doing some mods to the 482 as well, mainly getting rid of the swell on the back of the handle where it meets the blade, and softening the corners in general.

The overall fit and finish on the Slim is noticeably better than the 482, but I prefer the 482 drop point, and it is about 1/8" longer!

A couple of very nice 486s. I never knew existed. Same size as 110. Micarta.

I received that knife in a very generous giveaway on bushcraftusa a couple of years ago. It's identical to my first Buck, which was a 422 my father gave to me when I was in college. I wore that 422 on my belt for years, but I don't know what happened to it.
